CBN Indonesia is located in East Jakarta, 30km away from the city center. The office of almost 300 staff does humanitarian work, TV Production, 24-hour prayer counseling, and viewer follow-up.
CBN Indonesia broadcast its first program in December 1998, and on March 2002 they moved into their current office with the studio facilities. Now, CBN Indonesia produces five weekly programs and one daily program that air on national and local television stations: Solusi (Bahasa Indonesia), Solusi Jawa (Javanese Version), Solusi Sunda (Sundaness Version), Kasih (translated “Love”), Jalan Kasih (translated “Road of Love”), and Solusi Life (our daily program).
To minister to the television audience, CBN Indonesia has a prayer counseling center that operates 24/7 through telephone, SMS, chatting via internet, email, and postal mail. We also work together with local churches to contact our viewers if they desire to be planted in local churches.
Since its inception, CBN Indonesia has produced more than 1,000 television episodes, produced three made-for-television films, and reached over 130 million viewers throughout Indonesia. More than one million people have been served by the prayer counseling center.
The message of love and hope communicated through television is complemented by the practical ministry of Operation Blessing Indonesia (OBI). The humanitarian outreach of CBN serves more than 948,000 patients in 2,194 less privileged communities through areas in and around Jakarta. Since 1999, 6,348 children have been given a new smile. OBI sponsors cleft surgery, hernia, hisprung, cataract, hypospadia, and colostomy procedures. OBI’s disaster response, which began in 1997, evacuates victims from disaster areas and provides medical support, minor surgery, and medicine. OBI distributes to families, food and needed supplies and builds houses, schools, and a health center to aid victims of disasters. OBI’s community development projects have benefited 288 needy families in Aceh, Medan, Nias, Jogja, and Jakarta.
