CBN China was established in 1999 with a representative office in Beijing and a vision of demonstrating God’s love to the poor by helping alleviate suffering, restoring human dignity, and giving new hope for the future. In 2001, a unique agreement was reached with China Charity Federation (CCF) to enable companies to make 100 percent tax-deductible donations directly to CBN China for use in humanitarian projects. In 2006, another similar agreement was signed with China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) with a focus on disaster relief.
In addition to the Beijing office, CBN China has a Western China office in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, and plans to open an office soon in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Currently, staffed with 28 employees, 21 in Beijing and 7 in Lanzhou, CBN China is registered openly in China as a Christian humanitarian organization that models Christian values of servicing the needy through health and medical services, education, disaster relief, and access to water.
