Kollo, Niger: Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world. Almost ten million people suffer in abject poverty and have little access to health or educational facilities. In conjunction with partner Humedica International and The Hosanna Institute, Operation Blessing will soon open the first phase of a hospital in Kollo. The average life expectancy in this city is only 42 years, with children, pregnant women, and the elderly at a high risk for a variety of diseases. This hospital will include a 24-hour maternity ward.

West Africa: Through our CBN WorldReach centers during the month, 21,523 people were presented the Gospel in 37 outreaches with 4,685 praying to receive Jesus as their Savior.
Fresh water wells were drilled by CBN staff in 25 rural communities in Nigeria and Ghana benefiting a combined population of about 17,520.
South Africa: At our media ministry centers during the month, 13,923 decisions for Christ were made through 90 events.
Nigeria: A new station, NTA Sapele, was added that will broadcast Turning Point, One Cubed, 700 Club International and Living The Life.

Medical checkups and treatment were given to 960 villagers in central and western China. Forty-eight cleft lip/cleft palate procedures and 15 cataract surgeries were completed. Two hundred thirty two cisterns were constructed in Gansu province benefiting 1,160 people. In the same province, 70 solar ovens benefiting 350 villagers were distributed.
During the two weeks around Christmas, CBN erected three large crosses in Hong Kong’s business district and invited people to place a prayer on a cross. More than 6,000 prayers were written.

We started airing our children’s programs, animations, and The House of Living Stories on a new TV channel, Maxi-TV, (potential audience of 10 million people).
Moscow TV channel, Shkolnik, began airing Superbook Kids Club (potential audience of 10 million people). We are still negotiating with the musical TV channel, MusicBox, about broadcasting One Cubed (potential audience of 20 million people).
About 500 students at a technical school in Ukraine attended lectures our staff conducted concerning drug addiction and AIDS.

A total of 24,032 people responded to our weekly TV programs through calls, letters, and e-mail. 63,802 people viewed the Jesus film in 234 shows and 1,236 prayed for salvation.
9,800 benefited from 30 fresh water bore wells drilled by OB, and as a result 45 people dedicated their lives to God.
60,399 people were given dental, eye and medical services, and 1,944 received glasses. Additionally, 1,059 HIV patients were provided medicine, food supplies, and counseling. Sixty-eight cataract surgeries were completed and three cleft lip palate procedures were performed. During the medical outreaches, 160 people prayed to receive Christ into their lives.

Central America: In an effort to address the prevalent gang warfare problem occurring in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, a Vida Dura special targeting the issue has been produced. The show addresses teen gang involvement and its widespread affect on their families and the community.
El Salvador: At the Occidente prison, our staff conducted courses to enrich the spiritual growth of the inmates. Counseling was provided which allowed several to give their lives to Christ.
Brazil: Our program Agua Viva has been dubbed into Portuguese and will benefit children as it presents good values.
Peru: A children’s event was organized for the community of Surquillo. More than 300 children attended, some were offspring of inmates at the Lurigancho prison. All of the kids asked Jesus into their heart.
Guatemala: Our national director met with the newly elected First Lady of the country. They discussed CBN’s social aid program and she showed interest in supporting our humanitarian activities.

Through the Hiram Foundation, Operation Blessing helped construct a new community center in Moshav Dishon, Israel. The facility has a playground, upgraded safety equipment, furniture, and a state-of-the-artcomputer room. Also, OB helped fund another center in Akko which is used as a focal point of activities for the residents.
We recorded 25 episodes of “Assault the Infidels,” a program that will uncover the roots of terrorism in Islam for the English audience.

The average daily viewership for The 700 Club Asia show has climbed 38 percent from two years ago. The counseling center recorded 4,342 inbound and 3,205 outbound calls. Through these calls, 1,574 people prayed to receive Jesus into their lives.
More than 12,000 people benefited from OB’s various outreaches to typhoon victims in Catanduanes Island, children from institutions where the Holiday of Hope and Cheers outreaches were held, and residents of 15 communities in Compostela Valley where fresh water wells were installed. Through these various projects, 3,050 people prayed for salvation.

The following tsunami relief projects were completed: fish farming project in Phang-nga Province, mussel farming project, and boat engines provided in Ranong Province.
Our feeding program at three orphanages benefited 159 children this month. Rice and cooking oil was provided along with food budget money.
The House of Hope children’s home supported by OB had new water storage tanks installed. The facility offers a safe haven for 45 children where they have security and hope for a better future. An education and valuable life skills are also provided.
