Bangladesh - Three days after Cyclone Sidr made landfall, the Operation Blessing disaster relief team was in Bangladesh to begin emergency medical outreach to victims. Mobile medical clinics were held and food, blankets, tarps, clothes, and hygiene products were provided to thousands of families. Operation Blessing shipped four water purification units to the hardest hit areas that will provide 40,000 gallons of clean water daily. About 6.7 million people have been impacted by the storm.

West Africa: Through our CBN WorldReach centers during the month, 23,858 people were presented the Gospel in 47 outreaches with 3,684 praying to receive Jesus as their Savior. Fresh water wells were drilled by CBN staff in seven rural communities in Nigeria and Ghana with a combined population of about 6,600.
South Africa: At our media ministry centers during the month, 22,533 decisions for Christ were made through 130 events.
Nambia: Our East and Southern Africa director met with the representative of the national television station in an effort to restore CBN programs after all religious programs were removed from their program schedule.
New contracts for The 700 Club, Turning Point, and One Cubed were written with a new private station called One Africa.
Liberia: We donated a ferry boat which will service about 3,000 people living at the Cooper’s Farm community whose residents are mainly farmers, rubber tappers, and students. The people now have safe access to school, a clinic, church, and the market.

Albania: The Center of Hope continues to be a blessing to children and adults through Bible teachings, English classes, and community outreaches. We are currently reviewing funding for next year and hope to be able to purchase gas heaters and a generator to provide warmth and light in the winter season.
Romania: After torrential rains and strong winds caused massive flooding in the southern regions of Romania, Operation Blessing provided relief materials to flood victims. Using an OB water well, five tons of clean water were supplied. OB donated clothes, shoes, rice and toys to families and has been running a soup kitchen to help displaced people.

Medical checkups and treatment were given to 3,494 villagers in central and western China. Fourteen cleft lip/cleft palate procedures and eight cataract surgeries were completed. One-hundred-forty cisterns were constructed in Gansu province benefiting 778 people.
We collected information about tuition assistance and health related concerns. This is in preparation for the possibility of hepatitis vaccination for 17,900 students and 2,000 teachers across 12 schools in Heibei province.
We sponsored seven hearing impaired children to have high quality hearing aids. Six of them have entered a year of speech therapy in Beijing and one is already studying in a regular school.

We are negotiating with Maxi-TV channel which has a potential audience of over ten million people. This is a lady’s channel that is
interested in showing our children’s programs, animated cartoons, and The Home of Living Stories.
Three medical outreaches were held where 1,228 patients received medical help. 135 people prayed to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Though our programs The Home of Living Stories and The 700 Club, the viewers are getting spiritual support and answers to their vital questions. Letters are being received from a large range of countries, particularly from Belarus, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Tadzhikistan, Greece, and Germany.

A total of 31,759 people responded to our weekly TV programs through calls, letters, and e-mail. 17,852 people viewed the Jesus film in 63 shows and 37 prayed for salvation.
20,400 benefited from 41 fresh water bore wells drilled by OB in the states of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
52,763 people were given dental, eye and medical services, and 2,432 received glasses. Additionally, 1,001 HIV patients were provided medicine and counseling. Ninety cataract surgeries were completed and four cleft lip palate procedures were performed.

Mexico: After widespread floods ransacked homes in Tabasco, OB purchased four water purification units which produce up to 40,000 gallons of clean drinking water per day. Survival bags were distributed containing food, hygiene items, towels, blankets, and clothes. Families with children also received diapers, baby food, milk, and baby clothes.
Guatemala: Families in the cities of Zacapa and Chiquimula received food donations, benefiting over 900 people. In Chiquimula, 1,081 people were helped through two medical campaigns where anti-parasite medications were given.
Costa Rica: The inauguration of the call center for Club 700 Hoy took place. This ministry will serve the Hispanic population residing in the United States.
Peru: Four medical missions were conducted and five clinics were held in Lima where about 65,000 people were helped through the outreaches.
Brazil: A new host for the Portuguese version of Clube 700 is now on staff. In addition to having a special talent for television, she is one of the main vocalists of a worship ministry team that has great spiritual impact in Latin American countries.

We taped 47 new Farsi programs and 35 Farsi music segments which included two new episodes of a special Farsi Christmas show.
Phone calls and e-mail responses are increasing for all Arabic programming.
Prayer Requests
Pray for the development of the new Arabic phone response system and the volunteer team. We need 100 volunteers to field the current calls and e-mail volume.

The cumulative audience of The 700 Club Asia for the month was increased by 54 percent, bringing the figure to about 756,000 viewers. Our prayer center received 12,489 text messages; 4,788 inbound calls, and 5,051 outbound calls were made resulting in 1,578 people committing their lives to Christ.
In Leyte, OB dedicated 18 wells that will provide clean water to 929 families or 4,530 individuals. In the province of Sorsogon, drinking water was given to about 2,700 evacuee families who were displaced by floods triggered by a typhoon. More than 700 gallons of water and basic toiletries were distributed to 220 inmates at the Manila City Jail.
Through various outreaches throughout the month, 3,899 people prayed to receive Jesus into their lives.
