A CBN News veteran, Hurd's first foreign assignment to Moscow in 1991 was just months before the eventual break up of the Soviet Union. It remains his favorite stint. "It was clear to me, as soon as we landed in 1991, that the Soviet Union was finished. The West had left them behind. And we reported that."
Dale also covered China's opening to capitalism in the early 90s, as well as the Yugoslav Civil War. CBN awarded him its Command Performance Award for his reporting from Moscow and Sarajevo.
Since 9/11, Dale has been applying his reporting skills to various aspects of the global war on terror in the United States and Europe.
