CBNNews.com - Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is ruling out a large-scale ground offensive into Gaza for now, but he has authorized the army to carry out limited operations in the Gaza Strip.
The decision was made after Hamas terrorists fired a new round of rockets from Gaza to Israel.
Those rocket attacks threaten a five-month-old cease-fire.
There are also reports out today that Hamas staged a Hezbollah-style raid into Israel and tried to kidnap some Israeli soldiers.
CBN News Middle East Bureau Chief Chris Mitchell explains the diversion tactics of Hamas in Gaza. Watch that interview in the player to the right.
