Jesus said: “…when you give to the least of these, you give to me.” May God richly bless you and return to you the hope and love you have so generously given others. From grateful hearts around the world and here at home: “Thank God that you were there…”

CBN.comMeina is a little song bird and Guoqiang is quite a mechanic. In fact, these talented children excel in just about everything they do.

But there was a time when Meina and Guoqiang faced a very dark future. Both of these children were once homeless and blind.

Mr. and Mrs. Yang found Guoqiang abandoned in front of a church. “One of his eyes had a cataract and the other had no eyeball,” said Mr. Yang. “His legs were as thin as my thumb and his body was black and frozen.”

The Yangs already had three mouths to feed, but they still decided to adopt Guoqiang.

Immediately, they began saving money to fix his eyes.“I figured that since I’m Christian, I shouldn’t just say I love him, but do something about it,” said Mrs. Yang.

Five years later, the Yangs found Meina. She was blinded by cataracts and had been abandoned just like Guoqiang. Meina too was adopted by this kind couple.

“I thought about them every day and wondered what I could do to relieve my children from their stress and pain,” said Mr. Yang.

By sacrificing meals and working extra jobs, the Yangs were finally able to purchase a prosthetic eye for Guoqiang. But they didn’t have any extra money for cataract surgery. So both of their precious adopted children were unable to see.

“I felt really sad when people asked me why I couldn’t see,” said Guoqiang. “I envied people who could.”

“I wanted them to live like normal people,” said Mrs. Yang. So I asked everyone where we could get their eyes cured.

That’s when Mrs. Yang learned that CBN and Operation Blessing would operate on their children, for free!

“I was so excited that I couldn’t even speak,” said Mrs. Yang. Finally, our dreams would come true!.

Within a short time, CBN scheduled the surgery for Meina and Guoqiang. And now, both children can see.

“I can go anywhere I want and I don’t need anyone to guide me,” said Meina.

Without CBN, my world would still be dark,” said Guoqiang. “But thanks to you, now I can see!

It was the miracle Guoqiang and Meina had longed for. Cataracts not treated early on can lead to a lifetime of blindness. But thanks to CBN partners Guoqiang and Meina were spared such a terrible outcome.

“A lot of people say there are no warm hearted people out there, but there are,” said Mrs. Yang. I always take time to tell people how it was CBN that saved my children’s lives!
