ASHEVILLE, North Carolina - Evangelist Billy Graham is back home after a night in the hospital.
Graham, who turns 90 next month, fell late Friday at his North Carolina home when he bent over to pet Sam, his golden retriever, and the dog got under his feet.
Hospital officials say the evangelist was sore and bruised but not seriously injured.
Graham's spokesman, Larry Ross, says Mission Hospital in Asheville offered to let Graham go home after the X-rays, but the evangelist decided to stay overnight because it was so late.
Graham's personal physician, Dr. Lucian Rice, said the evangelist was able to do his daily exercises Saturday morning and was released from the hospital Saturday afternoon.
Rice expects a full recovery and said he's encouraging Graham "to remain as active as possible, but to be mindful of his dog, who likes to keep faithfully at his feet."
