CBN Board Member Dies of Cancer

CBNNews.com - Arthur S. Holmes, a member of the Christian Broadcasting Network's board of directors, succumbed to cancer on Friday. He was 67.
Holmes joined CBN's board in 1995.
He held both a bachelor's and a master's degree in engineering from Penn State University and later went on to earn a master's degree in business administration from Northeastern University.
He spent 30 years working in the chemical and refining industries before starting a manufacturing company with his brother, fulfilling a childhood dream.
Although a businessman, Holmes was about more than the 'bottom line.' His relationship with God shaped his family relationships, his friendships as well as his business decisions.
A regular church-goer, Holmes was also active in spreading the Gospel through taking part in missions trips and through his active involvement in evangelistic organizations such as Aglow International, In His Steps Foundation and the Christian Broadcasting Network.
Holmes is survived by his wife Christy and two daughters, Deborah and Julie.
A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22 at 11 a.m. at the Lind Funeral Home ,805 W Third Street, Jamestown, NY, 14701. The family will be receiving visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
