WASHINGTON - Christian conservative leaders who question what they call "the hype about global warming" are releasing an environmental statement today.
The document, titled "We Get It," is to be released at a news conference in Washington.
Organizers say it will seek to "unite Christians around Biblical stewardship and against environmental hype that threatens the poor."
They say the statement is endorsed by leaders of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Family Research Council, the Institute on Religion and Democracy, members of the U.S. House and Senate, and dozens of pastors and theologians.
