Church Office Manager Sentenced for Theft

HONOLULU - A church office manager has been sentenced to 18 months in jail and will have to pay back $45,000 she stole from her Hawaii church and its pastors.
Prosecutors wanted Wheeler sentenced to 20 years, but the pastors of Windward Unity Church say they're pleased with the sentence, which will keep her in jail for nine more months. Wheeler has been jailed since August and is being given credit for time served. She has said she's extremely sorry for her crimes.
Prosecutors say Wheeler used church funds to buy a trip to Disneyland for her kids, as well as airline tickets, computers, cameras and electronic equipment.
