CWN.com - In Kenya, many say the death toll from post-election rioting could be as high as 1,000 people.

The worst of the violence is in the rift valley.

CBN News spoke with Pastor Dan Amakobe of Word of Life church in that region. Amakobe is housing around 700 refugees in his church, despite constant danger from rival tribes.

"They've been planning to burn my church down," Pastor Amakobe said. "That's something that has been.very, very scary to me.but still we are preaching the Gospel and asking God just to have His way."

He says about 400 have given their lives to Christ, but still still asks believers to pray for peace.
