There are few cities more politically correct than Brussels. So, if you’re not only pro-American, but against the spread of Islamism, and you want to protest, expect to get beaten up.

 

Brussels Journal has photos and amateur video of Tuesday’s police attack on pro-Western demonstrators, who gathered to commemorate 9/11 and voice their opposition to the "Islamization of Europe".  One eyewitness said “The police initiated violence without provocation.”

 

Martin Sarturka, a Czech protester who traveled from Prague for the demonstration, said, "We are here to fight against Sharia (Islamic law). We do not want Sharia in Europe. We want a democratic Europe."

 

Brussels’ mayor had banned the march, fearing it would offend and provoke Belgium’s Muslims.

 

The very idea of publicly declaring the superiority of Christendom and Western values on a European street is begging for trouble. In today’s Europe, you can defend Western or Christian values and not be branded intolerent only if its understood you do not mean Western values are better than anyone else’s…except for maybe America’s.
